Unit 5 Ladies Auxiliary Fleet Reserve Association

The members of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association band together to aid, assist and promote in all matters pertaining to the welfare, social and patriotic work for the benefit of the Fleet Reserve Association, it's members and their families.

Unit 5 meets in the VFW Hall, 5728 Bartee Street, Norfolk, Virginia. The next meeting will be held at 1000, 26 January 2010. The Board of Directors meet at 0930, the same day. All members are invited to attend.

• We have given clothes, underwear and food gifts to the VETSHOUSE in Virginia Beach that helps homeless veterans.
• We give food certificates to needy military families through the Navy and Marine Corps Relief Society.
• We give school supplies to the children of AIDS patients at EVMS and also Christmas Gifts of McDonald gift certificates, books, gloves, hats, etc.
• We have adopted an AIDS patient and remember her with cheer baskets and gift certificates.
• We donated money to a fund for a Police Office who was killed in the line of duty (a Navy veteran).
• We are currently working on assisting the VA Hospital and we help Branch 5 anyway we can.

As our preamble states, we in Unit 5 work to help the military famiy and communities in which we live.
